With so much experience in Wastes Management, David was approached to carry out his first Expert Witness Project in early 2023.
Since then he has been an Expert Witness on multiple cases both in the UK and overseas. He has experience of giving evidence in court and has been praised by various lawyers for his detailed knowledge of the industry, quick grasp of the important issues, preparing reports that have to be both detailed and yet understandable to the lay person and his evidence in court.
David's Expert Witness Projects include:
- Expert witness for a Government body on a claim against a landfill operator for incorrectly defining its waste type and incorrect application of the landfill tax band.
- Expert Witness in Scotland for a company that deposited treated waste into a landfill, which was claimed led to significant pollution and the landfill operator going bankrupt.
- Expert Witness for the operator of a large waste disposal facility in SE Asia who was in dispute with the local city authority over a number of issues spanning 20 years. This is due to go to arbitration in early 2026.
